Freighter Aircraft: Designed specifically for cargo, offering dedicated space for large-volume shipments.

Passenger Aircraft: While primarily used for passengers, they also carry limited cargo in the belly hold—usually for courier shipments and baggage—with more frequent flight options.

To calculate volumetric weight, use the following formulas depending on the unit of measurement:

If dimensions are in centimeters (cm):

Volumetric Weight = (Length × Breadth × Height) ÷ 6000 × Number of Packages

If dimensions are in inches:

Volumetric Weight = (Length × Breadth × Height) ÷ 366 × Number of Packages

Once you have the volumetric weight (in kilograms), you can also convert it to CBM (Cubic Meters) using: CBM = Volumetric Weight ÷ 167

This ensures accurate billing, especially for lightweight, high-volume cargo.
